Congratulations to Matt and Katrina Carlson!
Our good friend Matt was married this weekend in Springfield. And I'm glad that the wedding went smoother for them then us! It was a beautiful ceremony and reception and Olivia was on stand by in case they didn't have a flower girl. (The day before the wedding she told both Kelly and I that if they didn't have a flower girl, Hannah and she could be in the wedding.)
We arrived in Springfield with about an hour or so to spare only to discover that Kelly forgot his hanging bag. He went down the block to a men's shop and bought himself a VERY$ nice new outfit for the wedding. The girls and I stayed at the reception until 9 or so before turning in. Kelly was able to stay and eventually get more time to talk to Matt which was nice.
The next day we got up and after a few detours, finally found a Perkins so we could have a nice big breakfast. After a long (according to Kelly) drive home and naps for all of the girls we decided to drive around St. Joe a little bit. It's a smaller town East of Champaign, and we just might end up living there next year....we'll see.
Another cute story - Hannah wanted me to turn around and watch her dance in her seat. I could turn just enough to see her out of the corner of my eye, but she couldn't SEE that I was turning around enough to see her. I explained that with my belly so big now, I couldn't turn around any more than I already was. In piped Olivia with, "because you're not an owl. Right, mom?" Kelly and I exchanged looks and smiles and I said, "yes, that's right Olivia. I am not an owl." :)

Sounds like a interesting weekend. Glad you had a good time at the wedding, Kelly forgot his bag, that is almost hard to believe. Mom- you aren't and owl?? Just think how fun it will be when three little girls have a comment to make!
I'm so glad that you had a good weekend. Sounded like the girls had fun dancing with the flower girl too.(Kelly told me that, altho he didn't tell me about his missing clothes). I read your blog to Van about the Owl story and we both had a good laugh.
