all the ways we're the same

We were talking at the dinner table last night and I suggested to Olivia that when she wakes up on Saturday she should come and sit in our bed and she could watch a little TV while she waited for Hannah to wake up. (Usually she just wakes Hannah up and they start to play).

Upon questioning from Olivia, I explained that Hannah just needs more sleep than Olivia and sometimes she's not ready to wake up that early. Olivia stated that she doesn't like to sleep in. When it's morning time, she wants to get up and start the day. To which Hannah responded, "I don't like to get up in the morning."

I confirmed that Hannah was not a morning person - like her mom - and Olivia was a morning person - like her dad.

Then Olivia blurts out, "and I have blue eyes like you!" And we both don't get cold!
Kelly and I just smiled at the proud look on her face that she had pieced this all together on her own.

Sara has a grand idea. Many times I have said that I wish I was a mouse in your house, so I could see all that goes on with those girls. Thanks for keeping in touch with us with alot of the happenings. Those kids are so smart!

Kids sure take after their parents don't they? And they are smart enough to know that. Like Sara and Dede, I wish I could be able to see some of these moments. Its very nice of you to share these moments with us.
