musical chairs - or in our case, stuff

new home

That's the game if feels like we played all weekend. The game where you work, work, work and it doesn't feel like you got anything done because all you did was move it, clean it, and then move it back.

We have our flooring in the basement now, so it's time for everything to go to its new home. We emptied everything out of the back closet (the one unfinished room in the basement). I think my mom was the only one who saw how the stuff was packed into that room! Kelly lifted and I cleaned. We moved a few things into their new spots and put down some carpet remnants down and then moved a lot of the things back in. But now you can walk into the room, which you couldn't do before. There's even a little desk and chair in case I want to hide in there and do a craft. Or if I ever get that MacBook and want to work on my pictures down there. :)

The bedroom is all set up for when mom and dad come down - we just need to find something to cover the window and get the bedding on the bed.

I put together these for the playroom and this is probably the most organized you'll ever see it, so enjoy! We have a lot of toys to haul down, but Kelly and I are both avoiding that tedious task like the plague.

Kelly also bought a table for the TV to go on and we will put that together tonight. Lately I've been thinking about my friend's husband...he'd probably break out in hives over all the fake wood and laminate we're putting into this basement! haha

Still to do: lots. But it's livable now and so much more cozy and warm down there. We're doing good.

It is a lot of work, but I bet you went to bed feeling good about all you got done. It's going to look so nice, new T.V., new davenport, new recliner, new carpet, not to mention the paint job and ceiling. I'm so happy for you!
