written: monday.
after being up for 38 hours and traveling for over 25, I finally arrived at my hotel in Switzerland. I was so happy and relieved to finally see Kelly. I decided somewhere over Canada that I don’t like traveling this far alone!
My flights were nice and uneventful and the Amsterdam and Geneva airports are very nice. They are very thorough as well...I was patted down before getting on my connecting flight to Geneva...she determined that it was in fact all pregnant belly.
When I got to the hotel, Kelly found me shortly and took me to the room…or should I say apartment? Kelly swears that the room is bigger than our first apartment (550 sq. ft.) at Gentry Square. It has a huge bed, a sitting area, a breakfast nook, two walk-in closets, 3 balconies and a bathroom that is soooo wonderful. And the water pressure here is amazing. It’s like taking a shower under a waterfall. There were also a tray of deserts set out for us and a beautiful bouquet of long stem roses.
There was a reception last night that I made an appearance at and Kelly stayed longer. The food was...I'll say, unique. I’m pretty sure Kelly ate some baby squid. And of course I had seconds at the desert table. Yum.
I think we were both asleep by 11 and then Kelly was up early for a day of meetings. He also gave his talk today. I was very lazy and slept all morning. Then I spent the entire afternoon walking along the lake and enjoying a chocolate sherbet cone. It’s so beautiful here. It’s just beyond words. There is some sort of event going on near the hotel, so there are all kinds of areas set up with the different Olympic sports set up for kids to try. Lots of opportunity to people watch. Did I mention it’s beautiful here?
Kelly should be returning soon from his day of meetings and then we are going to a dinner at the Olympic Museaum. It should be really nice. Tomorrow Kelly has meetings again and then Wednesday he will have time to spend shopping with me.
If you want to check out where we’re staying, you can google Beau-Rivage Palace in Lausanne Switzerland. It’s just beautiful. There was a rumor going around yesterday that either the new James Bond actor or the producer of the James Bonds movies was married here on Saturday and that all of the past James Bonds were present...fancy. :)
Please tell the girls that we miss them terribly and give them hugs as tight as they will allow.

Chris and I really blew it! We had the chance a few years ago to go over and visit friends that lived there and just couldn't swing it. Glad you are having a great time!!
