the journey has begun.
what a good deal that mom was with us to help drive and that we came up one day early!! we left town about 9 am and I was able to drive until a little after 11. we stopped at a rest area with a park and had a nice lunch there where the girls were able to play for a while. then we pulled back onto the (one lane) road into a very slow moving line of cars where it took us about an hour to go 10 miles! we didn't even make it out of Illinois before noon!
to top off our frustration with the slow moving traffic, we got rear ended by a semi. we pulled over into the empty lane and I took all of his information. Mr. Tumnus was nice, but actually asked me if he'd made contact....I thought "would I be pulling over here if you hadn't?" (K - the damage is minimal.)
we were able to make it to Osseo before we stopped again for gas and a bathroom break and then we ate at Menomonie which is famous for the cleanest McDonald's playland ever and where I went to college for one semester. we finally made it to Sara's by 8 pm.
so, bad news = getting rear ended and taking 11 hours to get here.
good news = girls enjoyed park and playland and hannah stayed dry ALL day!

Sorry to hear about the rear ended "stuff", hopefully it didn't dent you too bad. Other than slow traffic and that semi butting, it sounds like the rest went good. I'm sure it still was a long day tho. Oh, and also "Yeah Hannah"!!
