Alice has only had one pacie for as long as I can remember, and for months she hasn't even used it at Lisa's house - just at home for night time and nap time. And sometimes she would sneak into her room and steal it out of her crib during the daytime.
I've had more than one person give me tips on ways to wean her off of her pacie, but here's how it ended up going.
Kelly heard Alice calling to Hannah at around 2:30 am Saturday morning, and then I heard Kelly calling to me. Alice had thrown up in her crib....she was looking at Kelly and asking questions as if to say, "who put this stuff in my crib?" It was everything she'd eaten for dinner the previous night....mac 'n cheese and chocolate milk. And right in the middle of it was her pacie. I took her to take a bath, and Kelly cleaned up the crib and took the sheet, and pacie, to the trash.
She's been taking it alright. She's told us a few times that she wants her pacie, and asked where her pacie is, and we say, "I'm sorry, honey, we had to throw it away with the yucky noodles."

That sounded like a good way to get rid of the pacie, you can blame it on the noodles, ha, ha! I think she's old enough to understand it too, when you tell her where it is. She's getting to be such a big girl, can't wait to see her, and of course her sisters too.
Good move, I am sure she understands where it went and after seeing that stuff in her bed she would know that the pacie was yuckky too.
